
The Death Ritual of Dhardo Rimpoche
This video is a facinating, colourful and moving record of Dhardo Rimpoche's 'funeral'. Being such a highly respected, and well liked lama, hundreds of people were involved in the traditional Tibetan death ritual. The programme begins with ten minutes of the Rimpoche performing puja for beings in the Bardo, recorded in 1988, then moves to the ceremonies, rituals and processions taking place first in Kalimpong, then in Ghoom, where his body was cremated.
